Obituary

Dennis Lee Smith (Smiley)

Born April 8, 1955 to Dec. 26, 2018, 63. Dennis was taken way too early in life by a motor vehicle accident.

Dennis is survived by his son Devin, parents Clarence and Hilary Smith, brothers Louis, Steve, Wainee, David, Jeff, Michael Smith and sisters, Joe, Joanne, Mary, Heather, Hillary and many other loving family members. He was also survived by Abby, Ella and Marcie, his sons’ mother and her two daughters who he loved with all his heart. Dennis was a loving father, son, brother, and friend to everyone who had the chance to meet him.

Dennis loved his son more than anything on this earth, he would move mountains to help his son in any way possible. He loved to ride his Harleys, hunt, and fish anytime he had a chance. He was the father and friend everyone wanted, from moving mountains to doing odd jobs for friends and family, he was always there to help out anyway possible. Dennis will forever be remembered for always having a smile on his face that could light up the room, there never was a dull moment when you were around him.

A special thank you to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Lusk and Douglas hospital personal for their efforts and support. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Schrader, Aragon & Jacoby Funeral Home for being accommodating and understand during this difficult time.

Visitation and fellowship will be from 2:00. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.

My deep deep condolences to the Smith family: May you reflect on the precious memories of your loved one. I would like to share what helped us when our precious daughter died and later when my precious husband fell asleep in death as well. I appreciated the calls and visits from the many friends & relatives in the congregations all over the U.S. But I also, recall just sitting down and reading different Scriptures and meditating on them. It was so comforting to read that God cares for me personally... (1Peter 5:6, 7). Yes, He cares, He sees our pain. And, He Jehovah God will in His due time do away with All sicknesses & death (Isaiah 33:24 & Isaiah 25:8). He is indeed a God of comfort. Oh, wow He promises the hope of seeing our precious loved ones again (John 5:28, 29) and says where (Psalms 37:11). He always keeps His word. I hope that these few Scriptures were of some comfort to you as they were to me.

To the Family , I would like to express how sorry to hear of your loss. It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. And when it happens, the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. That pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your loved one is up in heaven. Jesus Christ promised that millions now dead will live again on this earth and have the prospect of remaining on it forever under peaceful, paradisaic conditions. (Luke 23:43; John 3:16; 17:3; compare Psalm 37:29 and Matthew 5:5.) Since Jesus made the promise, it is safe to assume that he is willing to fulfill it. These promises have consoled me when my father died. Hopefully, they can provide some hope and comfort to your family.
