I remember how you were always there for me! How many nights you were both "Mom AND Dad" because Dad was on duty at the Firehouse. (Those were the nights we ate stuff for dinner that Dad didn't care like, like Lambchops! however, we loved them and you were the best cook, Mom!)
I'll never forget all the car trips to Nevada, and California, and you made the best car lunches!! And all the Summers we spent at the Lake Water Skiing, you and Dad taught so many of my friends how to ski, How you made me the cutest cloths. You were the best Brownie Scout assistant Leader, and I have very happy childhood memories, because You were my Mom!!!
I miss you so much, and I'm painfully aware that Mother's Day is approaching, and that's depressing for me,
Needless you say there is a hole in my heart now that we can't share on the phone. I've gone to the phone several times to call you only to realize you can't answer. Just know we had the best talks, Mom,, in the few weeks before you passed, and you were sharp as always,,, telling me all that you wanted me to make sure got done, and what you didn't want to happen ,,,,and we shared everything....one last time, I know you're happy with Dad now and that gives me comfort. I will ALWAYS cherish your Memory.
Be Happy Mom, because you were THE BEST MOM EVER!!!
Your Daughter, Louann

To the Family,
I want to express how sorry to read about your loss. Losing a family member can be very painful. When I lost my father, I found comfort in what the Bible teaches.
I fully believe, as the Bible teaches, that God will restore paradisaic conditions to our earth and that he yearns to bring back to life on earth those who have died—including our family members. (Job 14:14, 15; John 5:28, 29)
We can look forward to the day when we will hold and embrace them again. Every time we hear the word “paradise,” that hope warms our hearts! In the meantime, we can take comfort in the fact that they are in God’s memory.
I hope the same thoughts may bring your family comfort in dealing with your loss.

Dear Fred, Thank you for taking the time to send a condolence and share your personal story. When my Dad died in my arms on Christmas Day in 2011, I wasn't sure how I'd go on, and now with Mom gone the feeling of loss is even more profound. Thank you for sharing. Best regards, Louann

Sorry for the loss of your Mom LouAnn. I sure remember one Summer in Cheyenne and a trip to Sloan Lake for my first (and last) waterski lesson. I never swallowed so much water in my life! Jim and Loretta were INCREDIBLY talented and athletic.
So cliche, but she will now be at rest with the “love of her life”, now and forever. Be strong. John

Hi John!, Thanks so much for contributing to Mom's condolence page. Just so you know, I swallowed my share of water too! And I still waterski, if I get the opportunity. I appreciate your taking a few moments to remember Mom! Best always, Louann

My deep deep condolences to the McFarland family: May you reflect on the precious memories that you made with your loved one. I would also like to share what helped us when our precious daughter died and later when my precious husband fell asleep in death as well. I appreciated the calls and visits from all over. But, I also recall just sitting down and reading different Scriptures and meditating on them. It was so comforting to read that God cares for us personally... (1Peter 5:6, 7). Yes, He cares, He sees our pain. And, He Jehovah God will in His due time do away with the things that cause us sadness and pain. These are some promises: All sicknesses & death (Isaiah 33:24 & Isaiah 25:8). He is indeed a God of comfort. Oh, wow He promises the hope of seeing our precious loved ones again (John 5:28, 29) and says where (Psalms 37:11). He always keeps His word. I hope that these few Scriptures were of some comfort to you as they were to me.
