Obituary

James G. “Jimmy” McLoughlin, 41, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away March 27, 2019. He was born on April 18, 1977 to the late Thomas McLoughlin, and Loula (Arger) McLoughlin.

James grew up on the family ranch west of Cheyenne and enjoyed being outdoors, showing at the county fair, Nintendo and Sega video games, and laughing. He wrestled for Central High School and graduated in 1995. He was also a student at LCCC. James loved spending time with family and often met with friends at the library. James attended Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. After services he would go around and greet everyone with a smile. He was goodhearted and willing to help anyone without question, especially those less fortunate even if it meant he would do without.

Through his struggles and brokenness James experienced the fallen state of man, but he also had hope in God. He showed this by returning to church to find peace and grace in the Holy Trinity.

James is remembered by his mother, Loula; brother, Shane (Paula); two sisters, Corrina (John) and Kate (Joshua); nephews, nieces and other relatives. May his memory be eternal.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with a Trisagion service to follow at 6:30 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. An interment service will follow in the Beth El Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Comea Shelter or Salvation Army.

My deep deep condolences to the McLoughlin family: May you reflect on the precious memories of your loved one. I would like to share what helped us when our precious daughter died and later when my precious husband fell asleep in death as well. I appreciated the calls and visits from all over the U.S. But, I recall just sitting down and reading different Scriptures and meditating on them. It was so comforting to read that God cares for us personally... (1Peter 5:6, 7). Yes, He cares, He sees our pain. And, He Jehovah God will in His due time do away with All sicknesses & death (Isaiah 33:24 & Isaiah 25:8). He is indeed a God of comfort. Oh, wow He promises the hope of seeing our precious loved ones again (John 5:28, 29) and says where (Psalms 37:11). He always keeps His word. I hope that these few Scriptures were of some comfort to you as they were to me.

Our families go way back. My childhood memories of Uncle Morris, Aunt Susie, Tom, (James Father) and Sadie are still some of my fondest memories as a kid growing up, especially at the brandings. I am sure James touched others lives as his family touched mine. I am very sorry for your loss. Michael Sandidge (McPhee family)

I am sorry for your loss. I went to high school with Jimmy. We spent a lot of time in the library, mainly talking rather than learning. He and I did go to my Jr. Prom, his Sr. Prom together. It was fun since we went as friends. We lost contact after school, but when I heard the news I could not stop thinking about him and his family. Prayers and thoughts are with you.

To the Family, I want to express how sorry to read about your loss. Losing a family member can be very painful. When I lost my father, I found comfort in what the Bible teaches. I fully believe, as the Bible teaches, that God will restore paradisaic conditions to our earth and that he yearns to bring back to life on earth those who have died—including our family members. (Job 14:14, 15; John 5:28, 29) We can look forward to the day when we will hold and embrace them again. Every time we hear the word “paradise,” that hope warms our hearts! In the meantime, we can take comfort in the fact that they are in God’s memory. I hope the same thoughts may bring your family comfort in dealing with your loss.
