Nancy Louise Martin Cassidy, 77, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed into the Lord's hands on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Davis Hospice Center.

Nancy was born on January 25, 1942 in Amory, Mississippi, the fifth child of seven children to Sidney P. and Alma G. Martin.

Nancy is survived by her children, James Benjamin "Jay" Cassidy of Cheyenne and Letitia Marie Buresh-Magelitz and husband, Allan, of Cheyenne; grandson, Devin Lee Buresh of Cheyenne; and great-grandson, Andrew Buresh of Cheyenne; sister, Julia Martin-Welsh and husband, Ronald; brother, Robert Edwin Martin, and wife, Ruby; three sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Edmond Cassidy; four brothers; three sisters-in-law; all of her aunts and uncles; and two great-nephews.

Her family can not put into words the heart break that they feel. She was the most amazing woman. As a mother raising two children and working two jobs, she demonstrated strength and determination. Just like this past year, she never gave up, kept smiling and pushed forward. She showed all of us how to love life every day, how to be kind and understanding to the people around us - friends, family and even strangers. She worked as a volunteer for the Veterans Administration, and she loved helping people. If you met our mom, then you probably loved her. Simple as that! She was a sister, daughter, mother and a blessing to all!

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family . Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.

I remember working with Nancy when I supervised Voluntary Service at Cheyenne VA. She was so kind and funny. She always had a smile and a joke to share. God Bless the family and give you strength at this time. Rest in Heaven dear friend.

Nancy was a wonderful volunteer, I enjoyed having her around. There was never a dull moment. Nancy was a beautiful person inside and out. When she quit volunteering, we still remained friends. She was like a sister to me. My heart is heavy over her passing, but I know we will see each other again some day. RIP Nancy until we meet again. I love you and will miss you.

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Nancy at the V.A. and saw her often in Voluntary Services. She always had a smile on her face and when I was having a tough day, she could always get me to smile and improve my outlook. People like Nancy are few and far between. I will miss her greatly, but I'll never forget her smile, positive outlook and great sense of humor. God Bless.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I knew Nancy from my years working at the V.A. I visited with her often in Voluntary Services. When I was having a rough day, Nancy would always brighten it for me with her ever present smile, positive outlook, sense of humor and gentle nature. She always made my day better and put a smile on my face. I will miss her greatly, but she will forever be in my heart. Just thinking of her now makes me smile although my heart is heavy with her passing. Interactions with people like Nancy are few and far between. I'm honored to say Nancy was my friend. I will miss you, Nancy, so very much, but your memory will be forever in my heart. God Bless.
