Adelta Sparre

Mrs. Adelta I. (Berggren) Sparre, 87, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away suddenly at her home early Thursday morning, May 22, 2014. Mrs. Sparre was born February 24, 1927, in Lincoln, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Adel and and Irma C. (Beck) Berggren. Adelta enjoyed working and she worked for GMAC for 30 years as an accountant. She enjoyed the outdoors with her late husband, Swend Sparre, and she was very generous in helping her children complete their higher education. She was Past Worthy President for the Eagles Auxiliary, and she will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her kind, gentle spirit. Adelta is survived by her daughter, Janice Mason of Wahiawa, HI; her grandson, Justin Swend Mason of Wahiawa, HI; her great-granddaughter, Jordyn Rowe-Mason of Miliani, HI; her son-in-law, Shirley Elliott Mason; her step-sister, Peggy Corbin and husband, Dan, of Cheyenne; and her caregiver, George Korte of Wahiawa, HI. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Swend Sparre in 1981; a step-daughter, Rosalie Sparre; and a step-son, Jack Sparre. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home. A memory service will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28th at 2:00 p.m. at the Schrader Chapel with an interment service to follow at Beth El Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Adelta's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Great Plains Chapter, 1500 South 70th Street, Suite 201, Lincoln, NE 68506. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne.
