Adlina Aragon

Adlina "Lena" E. Aragon, 83, of Cheyenne died February 1, 2013 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born May 14, 1929 in Bayard, NE to Simon and Belen Saldivar. She married Arturo Aragon on January 5, 1957 at St. Mary's Cathedral. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Her interests were going to church, shopping, listening to the radio Spanish Hour and watching daytime soap operas. She is survived by her husband, Arturo Aragon of Cheyenne; children Annie Saldivar of Scottsbluff, NE, Lena Grimm of Cheyenne, Annette Montoya of Cheyenne, Jimmy Aragon of Cheyenne, Stephanie Aragon of Cheyenne, Beverly Martinez of Cheyenne; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Steve Saldivar of Scottsbluff, WY, Sally Sanchez of Omaha, NE, Genevieve Perez of Cheyenne and Carrie Vigil of Ogden, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carmela Aragon and sisters, Marcelina Seja, Rosie Hernandez and Margaret Lopez. Those who wish may contribute to the Lena Aragon Memorial Fund, in care of Arturo Aragon, 4007 E. 14th St., Cheyenne, WY 82007 Visitation will be Wednesday noon until 7:00 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home. A Vigil for the Deceased will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the Schrader Chapel. A Funeral Liturgy will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral with Fr. August Koeune celebrating. Interment will follow in Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pat Montoya, George Martinez, Allen Grimm, Matthew Aragon, Timothy Montoya and Gabe Hernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stevie Martinez and Rudy Herrera. Services are under the care of care of Schrader Funeral Home.
