Adolph "Dolf" R. Scholz, 78, of Cheyenne passed away peacefully on August 16, 2014, at St. Luke's Presbyterian Hospital in Denver. He was born July 27, 1936, in Casper, Wyoming, to Adolph and Beth Scholz. He attended schools in Casper, graduating from Natrona County High School in 1954 and the University of Wyoming on January 23, 1970, with a Bachelors of Science in Economics. Dolf was a Manager of Internal Audit for the Wyoming Department of Transportation, retiring in July 24, 1993. He married Lois E. Anderson on April 17, 1966, at the First United Methodist Church. Dolf was a member of the First United Methodist. Dolf had a passion for classical music, his favorite composers included Bach, Beethoven and Gershwin. He loved spending time with his family, watching Denver Broncos games, and having a cold Coca-Cola every day. His family and friends will miss him always. He is survived by his wife, Lois Scholz of Cheyenne; children, Alicia Ammons of Cheyenne and Ian Scholz of Cheyenne; grandchild, Dorian Scholz; siblings, Ned Scholz of Centennial, CO, Jacquline Winstead of Casper, and Elizabeth Kandy Murphy of Casper. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those who wish may contribute to Meals on Wheels.
