Alfonso Vigil, 90, of Cheyenne passed away April 24, 2014 at Life Care Center of Cheyenne. He was born August 17, 1923 in Dawson, NM to Federico and Anita Vigil. He married Marcia Espinoza on June 23, 1948 in Mora, NM. He retired from the General Services Administration after 30 plus years of service. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and also served in the US Army/Air Corp during WWII. He is survived by his wife Marcia Vigil of Cheyenne; children, Shirley Vigil (Michael Ramirez) of Cheyenne, James (Yuko) Vigil of Tokyo, Japan, Loretta (Randy) Geoghan of Colorado Springs, CO and Lorraine (Dan) Korinek of Parker, CO; grandchildren, Tracy, Justin, Sean, Kelsie, Branson, Ryosei and great-grandchildren, Aubreigh and Joss; siblings, Ceralia Solis of Cheyenne, Stella Rodgers of Cheyenne, Vera Armijo of San Diego, California, Toni Rodriguez of Albuquerque, NM and Mary Vigil of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Arthur Vigil. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home. Services will be held in June and announced at a later date.
