Alice Hixenbaugh

Alice Hixenbaugh, 80, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, died peacefully Monday morning, November 2, 2015, in her sleep at the 161 Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness Home in Cheyenne. Alice was born in Cheyenne on March 30, 1935, the last survivor of William A. and Clara Hixenbaugh. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She loved being around people, telling her stories and a jokes. She participated in the bowling league, loved to travel, and listened to western music. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Norma I Smeenk of Oakland, CA; and her brother, Gene Hixenbaugh of Cheyenne. She is survived by her nephew, Steven Hixenbaugh of Reno, NV; niece, Meredith Niemann of Winter Haven, FL; and nephews, Harry Smeenk of Santa Cruz, CA, and Robert Smeenk of Aptos, CA. A private interment will be held in Lakeview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
