Alice J. (Vogel) Kilmer, 75, of Ogallala, Nebraska, passed away December 23, 2013, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was born on May 11, 1938, in West Point, NE, to Frank and Eleanor Vogel and grew up in Omaha, NE. She was married to Robert Kilmer and they had three children, Cindy Knowlton Johnson of Omaha, Dennis Kilmer of Cheyenne and Kimberly Kilmer Miller and husband, David, of Cheyenne. Robert and Alice chose to raise their family in Waterloo, NE, where Alice resided until 1986 when she moved to Ogallala. She loved her house at Lake McConaughy, entertaining guests, fishing, working at Kingsley Lodge and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Her favorite memories were time at the Ranch in Stuart, NE, traveling and visiting friends and family in Cheyenne and Omaha. She enjoyed reading, baseball, working in her yard, and selflessly helping others. Alice is survived by her children; grandchildren, Amy, Robert, Christopher and Matthew; great-grandchild, Cheyenne Rose; and her sister, Darlene, as well as many friends and extended families. Alice was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Andy; and a sister, Patricia. Alice has generously donated her body to science for the purpose of education and research. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Friends who wish may contribute to the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, WY.
