Allan Mackey

Allan F. Mackey, Jr., 72, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away October 27, 2017, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cheyenne. Allan was born November 9, 1944, in Colusa, California, son of the late Allan F. and Jessie M. (Daniels) Mackey, Sr. Allan enlisted in the United States Navy and later transferred to Naval Reserve. His service included working as a recruiter for the United States Navy. His many interests included hunting and fishing and watching for deer, rabbits, crows and squirrels. He also enjoyed searching for nuts, pinecones and rocks when making crafts with his wife. Allan is survived by his loving wife, Martha Mackey; two daughters, Cindy Harmon and Betty Hooks; son, Allan F. Mackey, III; brother, Robert Mackey; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Dawn M. Mackey. A memory service will be celebrated on Friday, November 3, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Chapel with Chaplain Delbert Hansen officiating. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Donations in Allan's memory may be made to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
