Allen Jay Hicks (ALDOG), 55, of Cheyenne passed away March 27th, 2021 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center after long battle with depression.
Allen was born May 24th, 1965 in Rawlins, Wyoming. He spent many years working as a mechanic and construction/roofing. He had a special talent and took great pride in his work. Allen was very active in the outdoors. He had a love for nature; hunting, fishing, camping, and just simply being in the mountains.
Allen was a stranger to no one. He enjoyed spending his time with his friends and having “Frosties”, but if you had a dog, he really came to visit them. Allen has always been known to give the shirt off his back, if you could catch him wearing one.
Allen is lovingly remembered by his son, Drey (Anna) Hicks of Wisconsin; his daughter, Hartley (Ryan) Burget of Wyoming; his cousin, Nanci Hicks of Arizona; three grandchildren; many other distant family members; and his lifelong friends.
Allen will be put to rest where he has always loved to be, amongst the wildlife in the mountains and waters, back where he was born.
“It doesn’t take a full day to do a full days-worth of work.”
