Althea "Marie" Nugent

Althea "Marie" Nugent, 96, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Friday morning, February 13, 2015, at the Kindred Healthcare Center. Marie was born September 8, 1918, in Gothenburg, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Clayton L. and Mae T. (Fotchman) Butler. Marie was an excellent homemaker and an accomplished seamstress, making her own clothing. Her other interests included upholstery work, fishing, gardening, raising chickens and helping on the family farm. She also enjoyed spending time at her son's cabin. Marie is survived by her son, James Dolan and wife, Donna, of Cheyenne; a sister, Ethel Couch; a brother, George Butler; three grandchildren, Toby Leslie, Eleanor Barsic and Pete Leslie; and two great-grandchildren, Karleigh Leslie and George Barsic. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Dolan; her second husband, Robert Nugent; and five siblings, Theresa Butler, Kathryn Edwards, Clayton "Bud" Butler, Jr., Charles Butler and Richard Butler. A memory service will be celebrated on Friday, February 20, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home with a reception to follow at the Schrader Reception Center. Interment will be held at the Pine Bluffs Cemetery.
