Alwyn Wegner

Alwyn "Al" D. Wegner, 84, of Hillsdale, Wyoming, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Mr. Wegner was born July 3, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, a son of the late Arthur C. and Helene (Sivy) Wegner. After attending colleges in Oregon and California, he was ordained by Open Bible Ministries. He pastored in a number of area churches for a few years, while also working as a mechanic. Lastly, he established his carpet cleaning business, retiring in 2010. He also enjoyed gardening, working in his yard, and tending to his vineyards. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, and for his large network of friends. Al is survived by his loving wife, Esther; four sons, Edwin, Robert, Donald and Russell; his daughter, Susan; a brother, Alfred Wegner; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Arthur Wegner, Jr. A memorial service will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church.
