Amado Gonzales, Sr., 79, of Cheyenne died February 7, 2014 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born December 6, 1934 in San Geronimo, NM to Filadelphio and Ophelia Gonzales. He married Clara Maes on April 20, 1953 in Las Vegas, NM. He retired as a ranch foreman from the Wyoming Angus Ranch. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Clara Gonzales of Cheyenne; children, Teresa Gonzales of Cheyenne, Lorraine Espinoza of Cheyenne, Victoria Gonzales of Cheyenne, Christina Potter of Cheyenne, Amado "Mousey" Gonzales, Jr. of Cheyenne, Margie Carerra of Cheyenne, Zandra Lopez of Lakewood, CO, Irene Gonzales of Cheyenne and Frankie Gonzales of Cheyenne; 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, daughter, Alva Pena-Bush; siblings, Herman Gonzales, Andy Gonzales and Lenore Encinias. Visitation will be Monday 10:00 a.m. to-5:00 p.m. followed by a Vigil for the Deceased at 7:00 p.m. in the Schrader Chapel. A Funeral Liturgy will be Tuesday at noon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be, Victor Gonzales, Jake Gonzales, Aaron Powers, Phillip Gonzales, Danny Pena, Leandro Regensburg, Isaac Carrera, John Carrera, Jr., Rodney Powers, Brandon Howard, Jacob Muruato, Freddy Mendoza, Francisco Mendoza, Frankie Gonzales, and Sean Lopez. Cremation will follow under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
