Angelo Hernandez, 77, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away January 6, 2016, at the Davis Hospice Center. Mr. Hernandez was born February 1, 1938, in Cheyenne, a son of the late Marcario and Felicia (Rodriguez) Hernandez. Angelo attended Cheyenne schools and worked early in his career at a telegraph company and as a prep cook at the Plains Hotel. He served in the Wyoming Air National Guard while later working at the G.I. Forum and also as a custodian at the Frontier Mall. His most recent position was as a bus driver for the school district. His many interests included hunting, fishing, and enjoying all types of music. Angelo is survived by his loving wife, Katherine M. (Hanson) Hernandez of Cheyenne; two daughters, Sonja Sutton of Ruidoso, NM, and Lucy Martin of Lompoc, CA; two brothers, Rudy Hernandez of Chardon, OH, and Sammy Hernandez of Cheyenne; three sisters, Phyllis Bard of Cheyenne, Olga Stuck of Ocala, FL, and Fran Pelletier of Cheyenne; and two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arthur and Albert Hernandez. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park Interment Center.
