Anna Mae Bondurant, 94, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Mrs. Bondurant was born February 28, 1919, in Emporia, Kansas, a daughter of the late Wilber and Margaret (Meakins) Comstock. Anna was a graduate of Cheyenne High School, Class of 1938. She worked for United Airlines during World War II repairing bombers and later married Francis Bondurant in May, 1945. She enjoyed working for J.C. Penny's, Newberry's and F.W. Woolworth, but her primary source of enjoyment was caring for her home, husband and family. She loved children, and she particularly enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her other interests included fishing with her husband and son, Jay, playing cards, bike riding, watching football games, being involved in the PTA, and being active in the First Christian Church and the Women's Group. Anna is survived by her son, Jay Bondurant and wife, Meredith, of Carpenter; three grandchildren, Jean Bondurant, Paul Schneider and Lisa O'Dell; five great-grandchildren, Megan, Patrick, Devin, Drake and Cody; a niece, Joyce Bennett; and a nephew, Jim Tyler. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Francis Bondurant in March, 1991; her brother, Wilber Samuel "Jay" Comstock, Jr; her sister, Genevieve L. DeLoach; and a nephew, Tom DeLoach. A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Schrader Chapel with The Reverend Kurt Borgaard officiating. An inurnment service will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
