Athena Scarpos

Athena Scarpos, 91, of Cheyenne passed away Monday, April 20 at Life Care Center of Cheyenne. She was born July 30, 1923 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Christina and Steve Skordas. She was the widow of Harry Scarpos who passed away in 1952. A great lover of travel, Athena worked as a travel agent for many years. She travelled throughout Europe and Asia, and made several trips to Hawaii and other destinations with family and friends. Those trips have always been remembered as highpoints in their lives. She was a member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox church. Athena is survived by her sister Catherine Soulis of Cheyenne and is preceded by her brother James Skordas. Private family services will be held under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
