Beatrice Montross

Beatrice "Bea" Montross, 94, passed away January 6, 2020 in Cheyenne.

She was born March 17,1925 in New York City, New York where she graduated from Midwood High School and Hunter College.

She was an internationally known folk dance instructor, teaching in many states as well as in Canada and Japan.  She led several dance groups in New York and was on the staff of the Kentucky Dance Institute for many years.  She also was an excellent crafter and exhibited her own designs at many shows in Cheyenne.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Coelho (Dennis); stepson, Bill Montross (Debbie Schindler); and grandchildren, Jenny Coelho, Gregory Montross and Michael Montross.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Montross.

Burial has taken place in the Cheyenne Jewish Cemetery.  A memorial service is pending.
