Berniece E. "Bunny" Farris, 92, of Cheyenne died October 4, 2014 near Cheyenne. She was born August 14, 1922 west of Cheyenne to Charles and Myrtle Trefren. She grew up near the Hereford Ranch and attended school in Hillsdale. She married LaVerne Nicodemus in 1940, they later divorced. She then married Billy J. Farris and was a homemaker with prior employment at union Pacific Railroad. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Gold Star Mothers and was a volunteer at the Veterans Affairs Hospital putting in over 10,000 hours of working with veterans and made over 4,000 pillows for the veterans. She is survived by her children Blanche Watrous of Desert Springs, AZ, and Donald Farris of Cheyenne; brother, George "Joe" Trefren of Denver; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, children, Linda Detweiler and Dennis Farris; grandson, Jerry Farris and siblings, Ruth Larson, Blanche Johnston, Richard Trefren, Bill Trefren, Ray Trefren, Jack Trefren,Archie Trefren, Jimmy Trefren and Stella Hatcher. Memory Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
