Bertha Allen

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend John Christensen officiating. An interment service will follow at Beth El Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bertha A. Allen of Mountain Towers Healthcare, formally of Aspen Winds in Cheyenne, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 8, 2010. She was born May 5, 1913, in Ritzville, Washington, to Henry and Katherine Miesser. She moved to Cheyenne on June 12, 1947. She married William (Bill) S. Allen on February 11, 1956, in Cheyenne. She was employed by F.E. Warren Air Force Base as a procurement agent and retired Aug. 8, 1969 after 25 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and she enjoyed assisting her granddaughter, Kathy, with Meals on Wheels deliveries for numerous years. She is survived by her step-son, Harold (Pudge) Allen of Mesa, Arizona; four grandchildren, Kathy (Chris) Hoover of Cheyenne, Kristy (Dave) Edeen of Sheridan, Mark (Shelley) Allen of Cheyenne and Karrie (Keith) Sasich of Bartonville, Texas; eleven great-grandchildren, Brooks and Brannan Hoover, Jordan and Jessen Lane, Travis and Tyler Allen, Kaylee and Kohl Sasich and Gunnar, Gabrielle and Grace Edeen; one great-great granddaughter, Aria Lennon Rose Prado Hoover; and a nephew, Arthur Anderson of Cheyenne.
