Betty Armstrong

Betty Jo Armstrong, 86, of Cheyenne died February 28, 2016 in Cheyenne. She was born February 6, 1930 in Westville, Oklahoma to Herbert and Mabel Archer. She married Harold Armstrong on September 21, 1959 in Las Vegas, NV. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Redlands in California in 1985 and retired as an administrative assistant for the Jet Propulsion Labs department of NASA. She was a member of the Presbyterian faith. She loved traveling in her RV and was a member of the Good Sam Club and the Escapees. She is survived by her husband, Harold Armstrong of Cheyenne; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Klaus Selbrede of West Hills, CA; grandsons, Jonathan and Matthew Selbrede; sister, Ruth Dutton of Shawnee, OK; a nephew and his wife, Dee and Pam Aldridge; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sibings, Wilbur Aldridge, Barney Aldridge, Faye Jean Pitts and Ila Mae Aldridge. A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
