Cremation will take place at Schrader’s Sunset Park Crematory. A private family service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Betty L. (King) Chesnut, 91, of Laramie, Wyoming, passed away early Sunday morning, July 25, 2010, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Chesnut was born September 29, 1918, in Falls City, Nebraska, a daughter of John W. and Ida C. (Lippold) King. As a younger woman, Betty worked as a sales clerk for Woolworths in Falls City and also at J.C. Penny, while later moving to Laramie and working at Boyds Stockman and Mode-O-Day as a sales clerk. Following her retirement, she moved to Utah to live with her daughter, Rhonda, and then returned to Laramie where she lived with her daughter, Peggy, and enjoyed visiting her other daughter, Dixie, in Albin. Her interests included taking rides with her children, camping with her family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters, Dixie Rabou and husband, Bill, of Albin, WY; Peggy Joyce and husband, Bill, of Laramie; and Rhonda Berger and husband, Bobby, of Syracuse, UT; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Avery F. Chesnut on April 29, 1997; her son; and a granddaughter.
