Mrs. Betty Jane (Zeis) McLaughlin, 85, of Albin, Wyoming, passed away Sunday evening, January 11, 2015, at Kindred Healthcare in Cheyenne. Mrs. McLaughlin was born July 24, 1929, in Holdingford, Minnesota, a daughter of the late Aloysious J. and Ottilia M. (Young) Zeis. Betty was a homemaker, and she enjoyed caring for her home and her five children. She enjoyed numerous hobbies including making crafts, cooking, baking, knitting and crocheting. She put her cooking talents to good use by working as a cook for a number of years for the Albin Senior Center. She was also a parishioner of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Albin. Betty will be remembered for her Sunday family dinners and for her enjoyment of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty is survived by four children, John "J.C." McLaughlin and wife, LeAnn, of Albin, Karen Sorensen and husband, Larry, of Albin, Sharon McLaughlin and husband, J.T. Filgo, of Red Oak, TX, and Willard McLaughlin and wife, Kelly, of Craig, CO; a sister, Nancy Stiller and husband, Andrew Sr., of Jenkins, MN; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, B.C. "Coyne" McLaughlin;a son, Bernard C. McLaughlin, Jr.; a sister, Jeannette Johnson; and a grandson, Jeffrey McLaughlin. Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy in Betty ‘s memory may be made to the Albin Ambulance Fund.
