Beverly Schmidt

Beverly June (Schultze) Schmidt, 85, of Burns, Wyoming, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Schmidt was born June 4, 1929, in Mitchell, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Henry and Helen (McBride) Schultze. Beverly worked as a telephone operator for U.S. West. Her many interests included knitting, crocheting, solving Sudoku puzzles, and watching old John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Kathy Watson of Burns, WY; her son, Steven Schmidt of Colorado City, CO; three brothers, Don Schultze, Dennis Schultze and Hank Schultze; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Fred Schmidt; and five siblings. A memory service will be celebrated on Friday, January 16, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader Funeral Home, 2222 Russell Avenue. A private family interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
