Bonnie Bea Plambeck, 87, formerly of Carpenter, WY, died September 4, 2011 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln, NE after a short illness. She was born August 17, 1924 in Doniphan, NE to Curtis F. and F. Aileen Kindig. The family relocated to Carpenter, WY in 1928. In 1930, the family moved to the Bauman Ranch south of Carpenter where Bonnie grew up. After graduating from Carpenter High School in 1942, Bonnie attended Normal Training in Burns, WY, and then taught rural school in Granite Canyon and Egbert WY. Bonnie married Claus Plambeck on September 7, 1946 in Loveland, CO. They lived on the farm originally homesteaded by Henry Plambeck. After Claus died in 1993, Bonnie relocated to Cheyenne, WY and later married Ralph Reed. She moved to Geneva, NE in 2009 to be near family. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church and the United Medical Center Auxiliary. She was a substitute teacher, and held many offices in the Methodist Church, PTA, Republican Women's Club and 4-H. In later years, Bonnie said her hobby was "collecting people", and she was enriched by the many visits and telephone calls that extended the numerous relationships she developed over the years. Known throughout her life for her hospitality and listening ear, her presence will be missed by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claus Plambeck and her second husband, Ralph Reed; daughter, Peggy Ann Plambeck; and sister, Dolores Oline. She is survived by her daughters, Connie (Darrel) Lichty of Carleton, NE and Lynda (William) Cook of Weatogue, CT; grandchildren Steven Lichty and Shari (Doug) Bonura: and seven great-grand children, Dominick, Boaz, Emmalia, Jachin, Jesiah, Tobias, and Megan Bonura.
