Bonnie Z. Wilson, 91, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, peacefully passed on to her next great adventure June 28, at the Centre Avenue Health and Rehab Center in Fort Collins, CO. A 74 year resident of Cheyenne, she was a devoted daughter, a loving wife and mother, and a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. Bonnie was born January 19, 1921, in Hebron, NE, to Hubert and Effa Gewecke, the oldest of five daughters. She graduated from Evanston High School in Wyoming, and Hebron Junior College. She then moved to Cheyenne and started working for the Wyoming Department of State. Bonnie met her husband Raymond E. Wilson at the First Methodist Church Sunday School Class, where they were members of the church for over seventy years. Ray enlisted in the Army, and married Bonnie in Tacoma, Washington June 21,1942. Their daughter Judy was born in 1943, prior to his deployment overseas. They returned to Cheyenne after the war, where their son Warren was born in 1947. Ray passed on last year in May. Bonnie was very active in the community and was one of the founding mem-bers of the Cheyenne Women's Civic League. She was also a member and past president of PEO Chapter AD. In addition she belonged to the Eastern Star. Ray and Bonnie purchased a vacation home in Rancho Viejo, Texas, enabling them to enjoy the best of both worlds for many years, wintering in Texas and summering in Wyoming. They also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and world, experiencing a variety of foreign cultures. Golf was another passion they enjoyed together, in addition to bridge and dancing. Bonnie is survived by her daughter Judy Zwick (Dwight); granddaughter Tanya Rinebarger (Trent) and great grandson Egan; grandson Karl (Caroline) and great granddaughter Charlotte; her son Warren; and her sister Kay Hamilton. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11th, at the First Methodist Church, 108 E 18th, Cheyenne, WY 82001. A reception will be held after the service in Allison Hall at the First United Methodist Church. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home. There will be a Celebration of Life reception from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at the Winslow, 909 Centre Ave., Fort Collins, CO 80526. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to the First United Method-ist Church, 108 E. 18th St., Cheyenne, WY 82001, or to the University of Wyo-ming Foundation, 1200 E. Ivinson St., Laramie, WY 82070, on behalf of the Wilson Family Fund.
