Candace Runge

Candace Lynn Rupp Runge passed away Sunday April 12, 2015, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. A celebration of life will be held Friday April 17th at Cheyenne Community House in Lions Park from 6-10 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Monday, April 20th at 2:00 p.m. for family and friends. Candie was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, May 7, 1971 to Ron and Joyce (Miller) Rupp. She grew up in Gering and graduated from high school in 1989. From 1990 to 2002, she was married to Jason Runge and out of this relationship came two beautiful children, Christopher Jason Runge and Courtney Lynn Runge, the loves of her life. She studied Phlebotomy at LCCC and UW Family Practice. Candie was a genuine and special person and you knew it while in her presence. She had a multitude of friends and an ability to extend herself to others. She took great care in the nurturing of her friendships and family. Candie not only was beautiful on the outside, but had a rare and precious porcelain heart as well. She cared more deeply for others and was always there when you needed her. She radiated kindness, intelligence and great wit. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh and a smile no one will ever forget. Her friends were naturally drawn back for more helpings of Candie's great company. Candie was an incredible person who loved spending time with her two kids and her granddaughter. They were her everything. She had a special relationship with her sisters; cousins, Kerri Reed and Tabby Jirousky; and many nieces and nephews. She was a caring, wonderful mother, and amazing Nana and extraordinary aunt. Her family and friends are going to miss her tremendously. We will never forget all the good times, such as late night extravaganzas, and the occasional late night rescue missions we sent her on. Candie will always be remembered as "Momma Runge". She is survived by her children, Christopher Runge and Courtney Runge (Jimmie Drummond); granddaughter, Mya Runge-DeGuzman; her father, Ron Rupp; sisters, Cindy Keller (Mark) and Elaine Schwab (Ken); nieces and nephews, Ron Schwab, Stacey Meisner, Heather Landreth, Sara Rogers, Steven Schwab and Stephanie Berger; aunts, uncles, cousins and all of her friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Rupp; grandparents, Dave and Mary Rupp, Henry and Mary Miller; and several aunts and uncles.
