Carisa A. (Will) Thomas, 34, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away April 9, 2019 at her home following a courageous battle against stage four metastatic breast cancer. Carisa was born August 6, 1984 in Cheyenne. She attended East High School and was graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's degree and master's degree in music education. Carisa's music education career spanned K-12 where she specialized in general music, guitar, band and strings. She taught at Burns Junior and Senior High Schools, and Hebard, Deming and Prairie Wind Elementary Schools. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and was an alumnus of St. Mary's School. Carisa was especially proud to serve as a volunteer and a committee co-chair for the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative. Carisa is survived by her husband, Jacob Thomas; daughter, Liadan Thomas; mother, Pat Will; brother, Ian Will; father, Thomas (Lisa) Seslar; grandfathers, J. Patrick Madigan and Virgil Seslar; and her extended family of Madigans, Seslars, Blackburns and Thomases. She is preceded in death by her adoptive father, Randy Will. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, April 13th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral. Interment in Olivet Cemetery will be private.
