Carl G. Johnson, Jr., 87, of Carpenter passed peacefully June 16, 2017, at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1929 in Wichita, Kansas to Carl and Thelma Johnson. He married Colleen Miller March 18, 1970, in Cheyenne. He attended the University of Kansas and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict while serving in the US Marine Corps. He was co-owner of Certified Welding and Wyoming Construction Services. He retired in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Colleen; children, Steve Johnson, Mike Johnson, Joni Tomasetti, Gary Johnson (Shelly), Shawna Gessner, and Sheila Johnson; grandchildren, Kristy, Kathy, Jessie, CJ and Shea; siblings, Patricia Icks, Nathan Johnson (Annie) and Carolyn Lindberg; 5 great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews; friends, Greg Bybee, Henry Miller, Marion Reeder, and Rudy Breeden and was preceded by friend Rodney Soppe. Visitation will be Wednesday 3-6 pm at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
