Carl Powell

Carl Wayne Powell, 57, of Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away at his home on Friday, November 22, 2019.

Carl was born April 28, 1962 to Wilson Bailey Powell and Pauline Church in Hardin, Montana.  He grew up in Pompey’s Pillar, Montana and attended schools in Worden, Montana.  Carl worked primarily in golf course and parks & recreation irrigation.  He enjoyed collecting elephants, antiques shopping, and spending time with family.

Carl leaves behind his wife of nearly 20 years, Julie (Rickabaugh) Powell; daughters, Steffanie (Scott) Armstrong of Clyde Park, MT, Stacy Powell of Williston, ND, Alexis Powell of Billings, MT, and Ashlea Reed of Altus, OK; son, Cameron Powell of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Athena, Trinity, Angela, Sabrina, Ivy, Kneeco, and Sophia; brothers, Art (Inez) Belless, Rick (Lana) Belless, Don (Julie) Belless, Bob Powell, and Leroy (Becky) Belless; sisters, Goldie (James) Weisbeck and Rose Frizzell; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Church; father, Wilson Powell; twin sister, Carol Joann Powell; sister, Violet Lorraine (Belless) Spradlin; brother, Robert Cameron Belless; sister, Jean (Powell) Matthews; and twin grandsons, Tylar Scott and Skylar Wayne Armstrong.

Carl is sincerely loved and sadly missed by all those left behind.  He will be laid to rest with his mother, twin sister and brother in Pleasantview Cemetery in Ballantine, Montana. A memory service will be celebrated on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home with a reception to follow at the Schrader Reception Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for Carl’s minor son, Cameron’s college tuition in a savings account that has been established at Pinnacle Bank in Cheyenne.
