Carl Summers

Carl E. Summers, 83, of Cheyenne died August 10, 2011 at Davis Hospice Center. He was born November 26, 1927 in Bristow, OK to John O. and Hattie M. Summers. He married Estelle S. Johnson on July 3, 1949 in Conway, AR. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Estelle Summers of Cheyenne; daughters, Sylvia (Samuel) Sgroi of Waterford, WI, Rebecca (Herbert) Doby of Torrington, WY and Tina (James) Yerges of Sammamish, WA; 8 grandchildren, Elizabeth Sgroi, Bonnie (Clint) Sgroi-Phillips, Joseph Sgroi, Kate (John) Winebrenner, Amanda (Jerry) Ash, Jacqueline Yerges, Jensen Woods, Elena Yerges; 2 great-grandchildren, Bella Ash and Callie Winebrenner He was preceded in death by his parents, John O. and Hattie M. Summers. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Trudy Robinson officiating. A private burial will take place at Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to Davis Hospice Center, 6000 Sycamore, Cheyenne, WY 82009 or First United Methodist Church, 108 E. 18th St., Cheyenne, WY 82001.
