Carol L Rairigh

Carol L Rairigh, 75 of Cheyenne, WY went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Carol was born on December 21, 1947 to Ignacio and Carmen Hernandez in Lakin KS. She was raised in Rawlins Wyoming before moving to Cheyenne in the mid 1960's. Carol was a supervisor at Gator Industries for 25 years; retiring in 1990 due to health reasons. Carol enjoyed camping in the mountains, crafting, and decorating her imaculate home. She equally loved cooking for her adoring husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary where she prepared her delicious food for the holidays and other special events. She did this alongside her very good friend Joy.

Carol is survived by her loving husband Harold (Butch) Rairigh, daughter Veronica (Tate) Langley of Cheyenne, son Douglas (Mary) Walden of Anapolis MD, and 3 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, her sister Carmen (Marty) Cook of Cheyenne, brother Enacio (Deb) Hernandez of Pueblo, CO, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Enacio and Carmen Hernandez, 3 infant children; twins Victoria and Elizabeth, and Barbara Walden; her father-in-law Harold Rarigh Sr. whom she loved very much, sisters Geneva Valdez and MaryAnn Guiterrez, and  her brother Tony Hernandez.

Per Carol's request there will be no services. A celebration of Life will be held at Vedawoo State Park at a later date.
