Mrs. Carol Lee (Evans) Rucker, 63, of Burns, Wyoming, passed away early Friday morning, May 6, 2011, at the University Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Mrs. Rucker was born August 9, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late Jewell and Margaret Evans. Carol worked as an assisted living nurses's aide and would have been married to the love of her life, Michael J. Rucker, for 46 years this August. Carol is survived by her husband, Michael J. Rucker of Burns; six children, Michael J. Rucker, Jr of Thornton, CO, David A. Rucker of Burns, Lisa M. Smith of Cheyenne, Stephen S. Rucker of Lakin, KS, Tyson L. Rucker of Burns, and Stephen S. Rucker, Jr. of Thornton, CO; three brothers, Joe Evans of Bloomington, IN, Mike Evans of Elletsville, IN, and David Evans of Hobart, IN; two sisters, Ann Davis of Austin, TX, and Sue Bestwick of Indiantown, FL; her mother-in-law, Marie M. Rucker of Reno, NV; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. At Carol's request, there will be no services. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home.
