Carolyn Laycock

Carolyn Laycock, 73, of LaGrange, WY, went to be with our Lord on April 2, 2011 at Presbyterian/St Luke's hospital in Denver, CO. Carolyn was born in Wheatland, WY to Clifford and Grace (Holmes) Gregory on November 13, 1937. She grew up and received her education in Albin, WY and attended Central Business College in Denver, CO. She married Thomas Laycock April 28, 1957. Carolyn was a member of American Legion Auxiliary John A. McGill Post 70 for 40 years, a 4-H leader for 32 years, drove school bus for 30 years, a member of Goshen County Homemaker's Club, and cooked meals for the LaGrange Senior Citizens Center for 14 ½ years. She wrote the LaGrange news for Pine Bluffs Post and Torrington Telegram. Her passion was raising a garden. She is survived by daughters, Moneen Birge of Bedford, TX and Rene` Baker of Pine Bluffs, WY; brothers Donald Gregory and his wife Barbara of San Diego, CA, Robert Gregory and his wife Phyllis of Cardiff, CA and Richard Gregory and his wife Rosie of Mt Laurel, NJ; grandchildren Heather (Birge) Eggli, Joshua and Andrea Baker, Darren, Zachery and Jordan Laycock; great- grandchildren, Daniel Laycock II and Savannah, Catilyn and Kaden Eggli; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Laycock; son Daniel Laycock; parents Clifford and Grace Gregory; and a brother James Gregory. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, at the Frontier School of the Bible chapel in LaGrange, WY. Visitation will be at Schrader Funeral Home in Cheyenne on Wednesday, April 6, from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. for family and friends. Pastor Jon Norwood of LaGrange, officiating.
