Carolyn Sue Myers

Carolyn Sue Myers, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away April 12, 2024 surrounded by family and friends at the age of 73.  She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother.   She had a love for and collected elephants.  These majestic creatures were a reminder and represented qualities she wished to cultivate within herself – Strength, Wisdom, Loyalty, Patience, and Kindness.   She was creative and loved crafting.   She loved to watch You Tube videos and taught herself new skills.  That creativity extended to her house.  She often said she had champagne tastes on a beer budget.  She would use her crafting skills to make her house a palace.  She had a larger-than-life personality and was always the life of the party.  As she came screeching and sliding in at the end of her life she decided to be baptized…..Just in case.

Carolyn was preceded in life by her parents, James William & Ruby Geraldine (Nelson) Myers.   She is survived by her siblings Kathleen Myers, Jamie Dean, James Myers, II, John Myers, Julie Drum (Tommy) and Michael Myers. She is preceded in life by her eldest son Kenneth Myers and survived by her son Gerald Myers (Tiffany Krout) and daughter Jennifer DeFer (Joe).   She is survived by 10 grandchildren – Jessica Sokol (Andy), Daniel DeFer (Destiny), Rebecca DeFer, Megan DeFer, Tyler Myers (Kaitlyn), Andrea Barnes, Devan Barnes, Bryce Barnes, Morgan Myers, and Cailey Cordray. She is survived by 7 great grandchildren – Erica DeFer, Skylan Bechtold, Lupen Ajibona, Zane DeFer, Killian Barnes, Azlan Walker and Chase DeFer.

There will be a memorial service honoring Carlyon’s memory April 14, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at the Agape Batist Church (210 E 20^th Street) in Cheyenne.  Reception will follow at Jennifer and Joe DeFer’s home (1111 Lummis Court) in Cheyenne.  In Lieu of Flower please donate to the funeral expenses fund at https://gofund.me/b7467233.
