Mr. Casey D. Talkington, 38, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Saturday morning, October 1, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Casey was born November 2, 1972, in Cheyenne, a son of Jimmy Talkington and Winnie (Houghton) Talkington. Casey was a graduate of East High School, Class of 1992 and later attended Laramie County Community College. He worked in various jobs, working in construction, carpet laying, janitorial services and busing tables at various local restaurants. He was a dedicated pool player, shooting on two different pool leagues and was sponsored by Mingles. He was also an avid collector of Hot Wheels. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Cathedral and was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He will be remembered as a character who loved riding his bicycle competitively and eating out as often as possible, frequenting Red Lobster on numerous occasions. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Casey is survived by his mother, Winnie Talkington of Cheyenne; his father, Jimmy Talkington and wife, Christina, of Hillsdale, WY; a brother, Gary Talkington and wife, Sue, of Harrisburg, NE; two sisters, Deanna Kortum of Tucson, AZ, and Jaelenne Talkington of Cheyenne; his grandmother, Gladys "Mina" Ferguson and husband, Martin, of Cheyenne; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Virgil and Rosalie Houghton; and his paternal grandfather, Denzil Talkington. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Schrader Funeral Home with a Vigil for the Deceased to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Schrader Chapel. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 5th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with Father Steven Titus as celebrant. An interment service will be held at the Mountain View Memorial Park Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Casey's memory may be made to the Davis Hospice Center, 6000 Sycamore, Cheyenne, WY 82009, in recognition of their exceptional care and service provided to Casey and his family.
