Cecelia V. Shivers, 92, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Mrs. Shivers was born March 12, 1924, in Rulo, Nebraska, daughter of the late John and Katie (Cogsdill) Bentley. Cecelia loved to care for her home, her family and playing Bingo. She married Thomas R. Shivers in Gering, Nebraska, on October 1, 1952. She was an employee in the cafeteria at Carey Junior High and at the snack bar at Grand Central. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary #4343 and the U.P. Old Timers #1. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Cecelia is survived by three sons, John W. Shivers of Ogden, UT, Thomas R. Shivers, Jr. of Denver, CO, and James R. Shivers of Cheyenne; a daughter, Anna L. Snead of Troy, KS; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers and sisters; and her husband. A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
