Charles Anderson, 93, passed away on December 12, 2017 at his home in Cheyenne. Charles was born on May 28, 1924 in Cheyenne Wyoming to Theodore and Justine Anderson. Charles lived his entire life in the Cheyenne community. After graduating from high school Charles attended the University of Wyoming where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He then joined and proudly served in the Navy during WWII. After serving he returned to Cheyenne and diligently built a thriving family business, Elite Cleaners and Tailors. In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors he was also very involved in the community. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church; member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Cheyenne; member of the VFW, American Legion and the Elks. Charles is also one of the founding fathers of Melodrama. He served on the Board of Directors of the Cheyenne Little Theater. He was a member of the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and was chosen Man of The Year in 1972 and for many years Charles was heavily involved in Magic City which he was very proud. Charles is survived by three children Mark Anderson, Janel Anderson and Todd Anderson; five grandchildren, Ameron, Taryan, Adam, Ryan and Justine; ten great-grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by, Betty, his loving wife of 52 years and his parents and grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 1:30p.m. at Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Following the service interment will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
