Charles V. Erickson, 93, also known as "Bud" or "Chuck" of Cheyenne died January 15, 2013 at Cheyenne Healthcare. He was born October 11, 1919 in Miami, OK to David and Martha Snow. When Bud was just 3 weeks of age, his father passed away and his mother moved the family back to Laramie. His mother died 2 years later and Bud was adopted by his Aunt Clara and Uncle Ike Erickson. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 19 years and later owned and operated Erickson Commercial Appliance and Refrigeration in Cheyenne for over 20 years. He married J. Arlene Tunnel on March 28, 1950 in Loveland, CO. He was a member of the American Legion Post #6. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII and spent 3 years in the Blitz. He is survived by his wife, J. Arlene Erickson of Cheyenne; daughter, Charlene "Charlie" (and Husband, Steve) Louser of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Jan (John) Peyton, Lydia (Chris) Kanyuck and Daniel (Laura) Louser; great grandchildren, Catheryne Peyton, Will Peyton and Aiden Louser. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Roger Erickson, and 2 sisters, Willa Gansner and Marguerite Lundberg. Those who wish may contribute to the American Legion Post #6. Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Schrader Chapel with Reverend Delbert Hansen officiating. A reception will follow in the Schrader Reception Center.
