Visitation: Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Schrader Chapel Charles J. Kachavos, 90, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Center for Extended Care at Amherst. Born in Manchester, NH, on Dec. 26, 1919, he was the son of the late John and Giannoula (Coucoula) Kachavos. Charles was a career military officer serving for 27 years with the United States Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He then worked for 25 years in Business Administration primarily at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH. He was predeceased by his wife Kathryn (Christopulos) Kachavos in 2002. Charles is survived by his son John Kachavos and his wife Maria of the Netherlands, his two daughters Elaine and Janice Kachavos both of Montague, his three sisters Demetra Kachavos, Ernestine Kaliontzis and Mary Kallechy, his two granddaughters Mary and Joanna and several nieces and nephews.
