Charles Leonhart, known affectionately as "Charlie" to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Though he is absent from his body, he is now joyfully present with the Lord Jesus.

Born on July 3, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa, Charlie was a man of many talents and passions. Throughout his life, he made an impact not only as a gifted Welder but also as a devoted follower of God. His faith was the cornerstone of his existence, and he tirelessly shared his love for the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit with everyone he met.

Charlie's infectious smile and captivating storytelling abilities drew people to him. His unique sayings such as "Darn your hide!" and "Bless your heart!" will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and cherished.

His dedication to studying Scripture and spreading the Gospel were among his proudest accomplishments. Whether leading someone to the Lord Jesus or offering a helping hand to those in need, Charlie's compassion knew no bounds. He truly cared deeply about people and had a heart for the lost.

He is survived by his loving wife Joni; children Nora, Deena, Mary Beth, Andrea, and Tyler; siblings James, Alicia, and Marla; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Uncle Dave and Aunt Kelly; as well as numerous other cherished family members and friends.
