Charles L. "Chuck" Long, 81, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cheyenne. Chuck was born April 26, 1934, in Milford, Delaware, a son of the late Harry and Hannah (Crist) Long. Chuck enlisted in the United States Navy and later transferred to the United States Air Force where he retired as a Technical Sergeant serving as a power production specialist. He will be remembered as an antique automobile enthusiast and had a talent for restoration. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte A. (Ellwanger) Long of Cheyenne; two sons, Mike Long of Aurora, CO, and Bruce Long of Broomfield, CO; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bernard Long. A memory service with military honors will be celebrated on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A reception will follow at the Schrader Reception Center. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy in Chuck's memory may be made to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
