Charles "Pete" Thomas Mather, 63 of Cheyenne, Wyoming, formerly of Goodland, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, at his home. Pete was born Aug. 25, 1947, in Canyon City, Colorado, to Charles and Mary (Thomas) Mather. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War for two tours of duty. Pete is survived by his brother Richard "Doc" Mather and wife, Rochelle, of Clayton, KS; his niece, Traci Brooks and her children, Emilee and Hunter, all of Clovis, NM; his nephew, Matthew Heinrich of Colby, KS; and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary June; his maternal and paternal grandparents, his aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation is under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home. His family will hold a graveside service with military honors in Selden Cemetery, Selden, Kansas, at a later date. Expressions of sympathy in Pete's memory may be made to the Charles T.
