Charlotte J. Paul passed away March 20th, 2015 at Cheyenne Healthcare. She was born in Germany on March 27 1919. She led her life courageously, escaping with her 5 young children during the Russian takeover of Silesia in 1945, and later immigrated to Cheyenne in 1959. Mrs. Paul was an accomplished seamstress, employed at prestigious fashion shops, and later self-employed. She was an avid reader and artist, who held several exhibits in Cheyenne. She also knitted gorgeous sweaters for her grandchildren, gardened and played piano. She is survived by daughters Karin Krause and Liv Hanes; her son Jan H. Paul and wife Cynthia; two daughters-in law, Virginia Paul and Margret Paul; as well as 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert F. Paul; her sons, Rolf Paul and Peer Paul; sons-in-law Dr. Arnold N. Krause and John G. Hanes; as well as her grandsons Steven Paul and Rob Hahn; and great-grandson Alessandro Mattiuz. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home and private family services will be held.
