Christina Marie Lohman, known affectionately as Kristy, departed this life unexpectedly on March 14, 2025, in her hometown of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born on July 27, 1965, Kristy lived a life that was a testament to kindness, selflessness, and unconditional love.
A proud homemaker, Kristy dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs above her own. She graduated from Beauty School, a reflection of her creative spirit and her desire to enhance the beauty of those around her. Yet, her most cherished role was that of a mother and grandmother. She found immense joy in her children—Sherrie Wilkins, Mark Lohman, and Jonathan Downer—and her grandchildren—Dominic Wilkins, Madison Wilkins, and Brian Wilkins. They were her pride and joy, and she celebrated every moment spent with them, creating countless treasured memories.
Kristy had a wild spirit that drew people in. She possessed a unique love for animals, especially the stray cats that seemed to find their way into her heart and home. Her caring personality earned her a special place in the hearts of those she encountered. She loved everyone unconditionally, and her compassion extended beyond her family to friends and even strangers.
Beyond her affection for animals, Kristy had hobbies that brought her deep satisfaction. She enjoyed studying the Bible, finding inspiration and solace in its pages, while also immersing herself in the mysteries of the universe through UFO television documentaries. These interests are just a glimpse into the multifaceted personality that made Kristy so remarkable.
She is survived by her beloved family: her grandchildren—Dominic, Madison, and Brian; her children—Sherrie, Mark, and Jonathan; and her sisters—Rebecca Briggs and Alena McHodgkins. Kristy's life will be remembered for the love she shared and the warmth she spread, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Kristy is preceded in death by her loving parents, Frances and Harold Briggs, and her sister, Anna Grace Briggs. While her physical presence will be profoundly missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, etched in the echoes of laughter and the joyful memories they created together.
Christina Marie Lohman was a beacon of love and light, and her legacy will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her wild spirit, passion for animals, and legacy of unconditional love will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
