Christine Burnell

Christine D. Burnell, 63, of Cheyenne passed away October 11, 2016 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was born November 20, 1952 in Des Moines, IA to Marvin and Charlotte Collins. She married James Burnell on February 21, 2011 in Cheyenne. She retired as a clerk in the Vital Records for the State of Wyoming. She was of the Protestant faith. Her hobbies included photography, shopping, crafts and cooking. She is survived by her children, Christopher Lackey of Cheyenne, Rachel Gerhart of Aurora, CO, Charlotte Hughes of Cheyenne and Tosha Apodaca of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Britt, Josh, Coral, Kolton, Tristin, Taron, Alex and Michael, Jr.; siblings, Cindy Miller of Burlington, IA, Greg Collins of Davenport, IA, Connie Collins of Polk City, IA, Colette Walker of Tucson, AZ and Claudia Collins of Polk City. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Williams and James Burnell and her parents, Marvin and Charlotte Collins. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project. Memory Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
