Cindy D. Barkell, 47, of Cheyenne died December 17, 2012 in Cheyenne. She was born December 6, 1965 in Cheyenne to Ronnie and Joyce Barkell. She was a truck driver. She is survived by sons, Alan Blanton of Cheyenne and Jimmy Barkell of Cheyenne; father and stepmother, Ronnie and Virginia Barkell of Cheyenne; siblings, Dennis Barkell of Windsor, CO, Jeff Barkell of Casper, WY, Brian Wilson of Cheyenne, Julie Stevens of Cheyenne, Jodie Smith of Carbondale, CO, Jacque Warren of Cheyenne, Jennifer Radford of Bushnell, NE, Jane Pope of Gillette, WY, James Barkell of Cheyenne, Kati Whitener of Palm Springs, CA, Megan Whitener of Evanston, WY, Autumn Lee of Denver, CO, Starla Porter of Rapid City, SD, Ryan Whitener of Denver, CO and Kenny Whitener of Chicago, IL; grandmother Betty Barkell of Cheyenne and 2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Wallace; grandparents, Anna and Elmo Gossett and Roy Barkell. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to Cheyenne Safehouse, 1813 Carey Ave., Cheyenne, WY 82001 or a fund for her 9 year old son, Jimmy Barkell in care of Warren Federal Credit Union. Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Schrader Chapel with Reverend Gale Graves officiating. Interment of her urn will take place in the Grover Cemetery. Cremation has taken place under the care of Schrader Funeral Home.
