Clara Williams

Clara Williams, 74 of Cheyenne died May 1, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. She was born December 24, 1941 in Anton Chico, NM to Juan and Stella Maestas. She married Robert A. Williams, he preceded her in death. She married Lester A. Cooper in Cheyenne. She was the Chief of Logistics at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, retiring in 2006 after 37 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and her hobbies included dancing, golfing, gambling and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Lester A. Cooper of Cheyenne; children, Vince Armijo of Grand Junction, CO, Dale Smario of Cheyenne and Dr. Natasha Mendoza of Phoenix, AZ; stepson, Clint Cooper of Cheyenne; siblings, Juan Maestas of Anton Chico, NM, Alfred Maestas of Albuquerque, Marcella Aragon of Dallas, TX, Chris Maestas of Albuquerque and Yolanda Maestas of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Jeremy Smario, Kenneth Armijo, Monique Locke, Landon Armijo, Shawn Armijo, Amber Armijo, Thadius Sawyer and Ashley Rose Cooper; 11 great-grandchildren and her beloved puppy, Sasha. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert A. Williams; her parents; children, Gale Armijo and Kenneth Armijo; and siblings, Jose Maestas, Lilly Perea, Livie Maestas, George Maestas, Leroy Maestas and Gale Lueras. Those who wish may contribute to St. Joseph's Society for the Retired Priests of the Diocese. A Vigil for the Deceased will be 6:00 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A Funeral Liturgy will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment of her urn will be in Olivet Cemetery. Services and cremation are under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
