Born: Oct0ber 14, 1915 Died: November 14, 2010 Services: Cremation has taken place at Schrader’s Sunset Park Crematory. Cleo G. Ward, 95, of Cheyenne, died November 14, 2010 in Cheyenne. He was born October 14, 1915 in Scandia, Kansas to Guy and Jessie Ward. He married Verna Wallin on May 14, 1941 in Courtland Kansas. He was a Material Control Supervisor for the Union Pacific Railroad for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a life member of VFW Post #4343, Union Pacific Oldtimers, Retired Railroad Club, Laramie Masonic Lodge #3, A.F. & A. M. and AARP. He is survived by his children, Kathy (Jerry) Hengen of Evans, CO, Gary (Joy) Ward of Springfield, MO and Douglas (Katherine) Ward of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Julie Ward Tenney, Courtney Kim, Christopher Ward, Jeffrey Ward, Karen Ward, Dawn Fone, Aaron Hengen, great-grandchildren, Dylan Tenney, Lauryn Tenney, Oliver Ward, Mattisann Fone and Kaylee Fone. He was preceded by his wife of 67 years, Verna Ward, his parents and a brother Melvin Hillary. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home, Cheyenne.
